The Deep Tek Winder takes controlled, powered work, combined with lift, into deep and ultra deep water. By wrapping conductors and fibre optics around the fibre rope, a de facto hoist umbilical is created as the underwater equipment is lowered and dismantled as it is raised to the surface.

The Winder was pioneered during specialist cargo recovery operations in 3000 metres water depth, as an essential element in the Company’s Vertical Technology.

This approach is now being taken up by other marine sectors, including science and oil & gas.
